            5.         Announcement of Pending Vacancies – April 2011

 

·         California Coastal Commission – Board of Supervisors and City Selection Committee in each County (Sonoma/Marin/San Francisco) nominates one or more supervisors or councilmembers; appointments are made by Senate Rules Committee for four-year terms; current North Central Coast representative is San Francisco Supervisor, Ross Mirkarimi, whose term expires on May 20, 2011. MCCMC City Selection Committee (All mayors; Mayor Al Boro, Chair) will meet in April to make recommendation for ratification by MCCMC.

 

            6.         Action Item - Appointments to fill 2011 Committee Vacancies

 

·         Disaster Advisory Council – Len Rifkind, incumbent, was appointed to the county-wide council to replace Susan Brandborg; he has served one year of a two-year term, expiring in March; Rifkind has also been appointed by Supervisor Adams to chair a subcommittee for public outreach and education.
